About
Hi, my name is Gerald Connor, but please feel free to call me Gerry. I have spent the last 8 years working as an IT professional in the Tempe, AZ area, with most of that time spent inside a cubicle waiting for something to go seriously wrong with my company’s network. That seldom happens, so my thoughts tend to drift to other subjects during that time, although most of them are still computer based.
As much as computers help me pay the bills, I have also developed a love for graphic design over the years. I like to design my professional career with my hobby and have come up with numerous designs for laptop covers and custom desktop chassis configurations. Those ideas remain just that, but my friends have made a habit of pestering me to create designs for them, usually based around their favorite video game.
I decided to create this blog on something of a whim, but find the process of putting my thoughts out into the internet to be somewhat therapeutic. While I try to cover a wide range of topics and interests in my posts, you’ll probably notice that the majority of them will be computer based. It may be dull to some, but I’ve always found it easiest to write about what I know, which is precious little outside of servers and networks.
My goal with this blog is not so much to entertain you all, but instead try to keep you here without boring you all to tears. If you have made it to this point in my bio, then I can only assume that I have succeeded in my goals. If you are sitting beside someone as you read this, then please give them a nudge now to make sure that they are still with us.
